How do I go about pricing my tattoo flash art to sell?

Anyone have an idea to go about pricing "flash art" for tattooing? I've drawn many single pieces as well as full sheets.

Keep in mind the:
Size- Ranging small to very large
Color or Black and White
Simple to detailed.

Any information would be great.

Thanks

  1. Go to a shop and see if they like what you have to offer first. Get opinions and such. Ask them if THEY would buy them and how much they would be willing to pay for them. NEVER say "I'm looking to get this much" because sometimes they go higher and you feel sort of foolish. Now if your talking about getting your flash in like books and whatnot, get "Savage" or "Tattoo" books. Sometimes they have numbers in there for you to call to get some help. My ex talked to someone from Savage and he was going to help design some stuff for there....until he went insane :) Well I hope you make something of yourself dear!

  2. If you're looking to sell individual designs or just a couple of sheets, either cut a deal with a local shop or submit them to a quality tat magazine (as was suggested). However, if you have a decent sized collection of designs and plan on producing more, you might try submitting samples to tattoo supply companies (such as CAM, Unimax, etc.). Bear in mind, supply houses usually look for whole collections of designs done on 11 by 14 paper with line drawings. Good luck.
