Im a freshman in college going to be a raidiologist and im thinking about getting tattoo sleeves?

I have always been inlove with tattoo at the moment i only have one on my leg but at the beginning of winter im getting a large chest tattoo. Anyway, I was just wondering if getting sleeves would pretty much disqualify me from becoming a doctor. I was thinking i could just wear long sleeve shirts right?

  1. Long sleeve shirts would be ok but i would wait till i graduated and found my place of work and then decide if I still wanted the tattoos! but if you don't want to wait then yes yes long sleeve shirts will do the job!

  2. Don't do it.
How many people in the professional field have you seen with tattoo sleeves? Not many I'm sure. Although we all try to tell ourselves that appearance shouldn't matter and our work should speak for itself, it doesn't. People will have preconceived notions about you when they see any sort of visible tattoos and because of there place in society right now. Would you want a bad ass rebel working on test results? Employers know this and for the most part will purposely look away from people that have large visible tattoos especially if they are going to be interacting in any way with guests/clients/customers in a professional setting.
Sleeves are not as easy to hide as you think.

Also don't forget, what you think may be awesome at 18-19 you will really regret 10 years later when you are at a different point in your life.

If you want more tattoos, I would suggest getting them in hidden areas that can be hidden in any sort of professional place.
