Ok here's what's going on, I want to get my sons name tattooed on me but unlike my older sons tattoos I want something much more elabrate this time but I cannot seem to come up with any ideas and do not have the skills to put them down on paper myself. My question is does anyone have any ideas like who I could ask to come up with multiple "samples" for me or where I could find someone who would be interested in drawing them and good at drawing. Any ideas would help thanks.
ask the tattoo artist who you want to do it .. he/she will come up with something for you .. just give them a few ideas and they can piece something together .. or look through tattoo magazines and online for help too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, ask your tattoo artist if they do custom work and they should draw up some concepts for you- they may charge for drawings separately or just ask for a deposit towards your tattoo. Bring in reference materials and have a concept to give the artist something to work with. Mine doesn't charge for design work but asks for a deposit, which counts as the last hour of work on my tattoos.
ReplyDeleteYour best bet is to find an artist that you click with and talk to them. It's part of their job to figure out what fits you. Any good artist is willing to take the time to put a piece together if they know that it means something and isn't just something picked out of a book. (most artists get excited when you give them free creative reign) Think of things that remind you of your son, and maybe incorporate them in with his name, or use his astrological sign. Tattoo's should mean something, and come from the heart. They last a lifetime, and can capture memories of times and places. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteTalk to the tattoo artist you'll be using. They should be able to sketch out some ideas for you. You could also get in touch with a local art school and see if there's anyone who would do some sketches for you.
